enote is a microblog where you post status updates and messages you want to share. You can be in touch with your friends, classmates, colleagues or only watch what other people have to say. What is enote?


enote is a microblog. You can write down anything as and when you feel like as a short note and share it with your friends. enote keeps social networking simple. It lets you always stay connected with your friends via constant updates and messaging.


Using enote


You can update your enote status by simply going to enote.in, log in using your username, password, and write your note. All your notes will be available at your microblog profile URL http://enote.in/yourname (You should not have set your profile as "private". If so only logged in friends can see your notes.) You can similarly go to any user's enote profile URL and click on "follow" to keep a track of their notes.


Following Users


Once an user is on enote, you can go to their enote profile page and click on "Follow" button beneath their profile picture. You will now be subscribed to their notes and can read them when you login to enote if their profile is not set to "private".


Making Friends


You need to follow an enote user and similarly they need to follow you. Once both are following each other, you are friends!


Private Profiles


If you do not want everyone to read your notes, just check "private profile" in your settings. Once you do this only friends can follow your updates whenever you post a note. If you do not want even that, go ahead and delete your profile! :)


Replying to Notes


If you want to reply one of enote users, you must type @, the username of the person who you are going to reply, and the message (example: @aravind hey! i liked your post.).


Private Messaging


If you want you can message one of your friends privately, you must type !, the username of the friend who you are going to message, and the message (example: !aravind how are you doing?).


Creating Buzz


You can create a buzz around any topic by hashing # the keyword. (example message: India wins against Australia in #cricket today or #AamirKhan directs a new movie).


Twitter integration


You got a Twitter account, and want to keep your followers informed, at the same time read their tweets? No problem, just add your account at the Twitter tab and you'll be able to do it. If you want, you can reply to your Twitter friends, simply using the % instead of the @.


GTalk / Jabber integration


If you have a GTalk or Jabber account, then you can post to enote by saving your GTalk / Jabber ID at the Configuration tab. Next, add enote@enote.in to your buddy list on GTalk or Jabber and message it your updates.


Customize your profile


All enote users can customize their profiles. You can update your bio, upload your profile picture and choose your prefered theme.
